(x, y)

When you are asked for the midpoint, just find the average for both the x and y components:

So the midpoint for A(-3, -3) and B(6, 6)

The xs components are  -3, and 6,  Average = (-3 + 6)/2 = 3/2 = 1.5

The ys components are  -3, and 6,  Average = (-3 + 6)/2 = 3/2 = 1.5

So the midpoint is (1.5, 1.5)

I hope this helps.

The equation a = 640s gives the relationship between s square miles and a acres. Bob owns 3.5 square miles of farmland. How many
Annette [7]
Acres = 640 * sq miles
acres = 640 * 3.5
acres = 2,240 square miles

**************************************************************
Incidentally, here's how that 640 acres per square mile is derived.
1 acre = 43,560 square feet
1 square mile = 5,280^2 =    27,878,400    square feet
  27,878,400  / 43,560 = 640 acres exactly

The object on the right is made from a square based pyramid...
natima [27]

Answer:

7.81\ g/cm^3

Step-by-step explanation:

step 1

Find the volume of the cuboid

The volume is equal to

V=(6^2)(9)=324\ cm^3

step 2

Find the mass of the cuboid

Remember that

The density is equal to divide the mass by the volume

so

The mass is equal to multiply the volume by the density

m=(324)(0.68)=220.32\ g

step 3

Find the mass of the square base pyramid

subtract the mass of the cuboid from the total mass

970-220.32=749.68\ g

step 4

Find the volume of the pyramid

The volume is equal to

V=\frac{1}{3}(6^2)(8)= 96\ cm^3

step 5

Find the density of the steel (pyramid)

divide the mass of the pyramid by the volume of the pyramid

749.68/96=7.81\ g/cm^3
