Circles

Area of Circle is \pi d^{2} /4

Total percentage increase in the area of the modified circle is 69%

Explanation:

(a)  Given the diameter of the circle be d

Then the radius of the circle = r = d/2

and the area of the circle is given by:

Area(A) = \pi r^{2}

A = \pi (d/2)^{2}

A = \pi d^{2} /4

The area of circle is \pi d^{2} /4

(b)

The increase in percentage while changing the dimensions is given by the formula  :

Total % increase = a% + b% - (a% * b%)/100

Where ,

a% is the percentage increase in side a

b% is the percentage increase  in side b

Let the percentage increase in radius is : a%

Since a% = b%

So the formula is

Total increase % = a% + a% + (a% * a%)/100

Given here the diameter of the circle increases by 30% so a =30

Therefore, putting the value of a in the formula

Total increase % = 30% + 30% + (30% *30%)/100

Total increase % = 60% + 9%

Total increase % =69%

Therefore the total percentage increase in the area of the modified circle is 69%

Answer:

<em>A. check box </em>

Explanation:

A check box, selection box, or tick box <em>is a small immersive box that the user can switch to demonstrate an affirmative or negative choice</em>.

It is often observed in applications and operating systems ' HTML input forms, dialog boxes, and GUIs.

A check mark appears inside the box when clicked to signify an affirmative (yes) option. The check mark will vanish when clicking again, suggesting a negative option (no).

Complete the function ending_time that determines the final clock time after a task has been completed. The function takes three
Ivanshal [37]

Answer:

  1. def ending_time(hour, minutes, seconds, work_time):
  2.    if((seconds + work_time) // 60 > 0):
  3.        minutes = minutes + (seconds + work_time) // 60
  4.        seconds = (seconds + work_time) % 60
  5.        if(minutes // 60 > 0):
  6.            hour = hour + (minutes // 60)
  7.            minutes = minutes % 60
  8.    else:
  9.        seconds = seconds + work_time
  10.    return str(hour) + ":" + str(minutes) + ":" + str(seconds)
  11. print(ending_time(2,30,59, 12000))

Explanation:

The solution code is written in Python 3.

Firstly create a function ending_time that takes the four required input parameters.

Next, create an if statement to check if the numerator of (seconds + work_times) divided by 60 is over zero. If so, increment the minute and reassign the remainder of the seconds to the variable (Line 2-4).

Next, create another if statement again to check if the numerator of (current minutes) divided by 60 is over zero, if so increment the hour and reassign the remainder of the minutes to the variable (Line 6-8)

Otherwise, just simply add the work_time to the current seconds

At last return the time output string (Line 12).

a. Write a function called fizzbuzz. This function will take 1 number as a parameter. The function will print all numbers from 0
OLga [1]

Answer:

def fizzbuzz (num):

 for item in range(num):

   if item % 2 == 0 and item % 3 == 0:

     print("fizzbuzz")

   elif item % 3 == 0:

     print("buzz")

   elif item % 2 == 0:

     print("fizz")

   else:

     print (item)

fizzbuzz(20)

Explanation:

Using Python programming Language

Use a for  loop to iterate from 0 up to the number using the range function

Within the for loop use the modulo (%) operator to determine divisibility by 2 and 3 and print the required output

see attached program output screen.
