$\frac{3}{10}$ + $\frac{2}{5}$
 
Multiply the $\frac{2}{5}$ by 2 on both sides to get a common denominator of 10. You should end up with $\frac{4}{10}$.

$\frac{3}{10}$ + $\frac{4}{10}$ = $\frac{7}{10}$

Get a common denominator between $\frac{7}{10}$ and $\frac{5}{15}$ to compare them -- a common denominator is 30. Multiply the $\frac{7}{10}$ by 3, and $\frac{5}{15}$ by 2.

$\frac{21}{30}$ and $\frac{10}{30}$ 
The $\frac{7}{10}$ is obviously much larger than $\frac{5}{15}$.

Now look at the answers. Which are true?

B and E are easily seen as true, because we know that the total of $\frac{5}{15}$ is not reasonable/right.

The 2 statements that are true are (B) and (E).
