Answer:

It will take 150 hours to fill all 3 tanks at a time.

Step-by-step explanation:

Water flows in pipe 1 at a rate of 25,000 gallons per hour.

Other pipe at a rate of 45,000 gallons per hour.

Water leaves the system at a rate of 60,000 gallons per hour.

There are 3 of these tanks and each tank holds 1 million gallons.

Each tank is half full.

So, total capacity of 3 tanks = 3 millions and it is half full.

The water need to be filled = 1.5 millions. At the same time 60,000 gallons of water leaving out.

25,000 x + 45,000 x - 60,000 x = 1.5 millions

70,000x -60,000x = 1500000

10,000x = 1500000

Dividing both sides by 10,000, we get

x = 150 hours

Therefore, it will take 150 hours to fill all 3 tanks at a time.

A craftsman makes a circular table with a radius of 55
Rudik [331]

Answer:

Hey mate here is your answer...

Step-by-step explanation:

smaller circular table to be made

with a diameter only half as big... and diameter of big table is (2*55)= 110cm.... So half diameter of big is (110/2)= 55cm

therefore, diameter of smaller table is 55cm and radius of it's (55/2)= 27.5cm

circumference of circle = 2πr

= 2*3.14*27.5

= 172.7 cm = 27.5cm

hope it helps you ❣️

How can I solve this?
Eva8 [605]

Answer:

they are congruent so 47 is also the measurement for its corresponding angle(aka the corner that doesn't have a variable)

and in a triangle, interior angles add to 180 so 47+x+y=180

90 + 43 = 133

+47= 180

so your answer is a

hope this helps!!

Can someone please give me the answers to this? ... please ...
Hoochie [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

come on ! based on all the other questions that have been answered AND explained you should be able to find these answers yourself now. what is still unclear ?

distance between 2 points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2):

Pythagoras : c² = a² + b²

c is the connection between the 2 points (and which length we need to find).

c = sqrt(a² + b²)

a and b are differences of the x coordinates and the differences of the y coordinates of these 2 points.

a = x1 - x2

b = y1 - y2

this is simply because, when you look at the coordinate grid, these 3 items make a right-angled triangle.

don't worry about any negative values for a and b, as the square eliminates the negative sign.

midpoint between 2 points :

we could use Pythagoras again for this, but the end result is so simple, we can skip this.

at the end the coordinates of the midpoint of 2 points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) are

((x1+x2)/2, (y1+y2)/2)

find the other endpoint (x2, y2), when you have one endpoint (x1, y1) and the midpoint (xm, ym) :

from above you know

xm = (x1+x2)/2

2×xm = x1 + x2

x2 = 2×xm - x1

and in the same way

ym = (y1+y2)/2

2×ym = y1 + y2

y2 = 2×ym - y1

and you can read a graph, right ?

if not it is high time to learn that very simple and basic skill :

the x coordinate of a point is how many units right (positive) or left (negative) from the center point it is.

the y coordinate of a point is how many units above (positive) or below (negative) from the center point it is.

the center point is always (0, 0).

so, what else do you need ?

I am very busy explaining things. I should not spend my little time doing the basic calculations for you (that I could train a monkey to do).

so, please, oil your brain machinery by following the instructions and formulas using the actual numbers and see how the results build out of this.

if you run into further problems, please ask me for additional explanations.

What is the degree of (3x^2-3)(3x^2+3)
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

9x^4+3x^2 -6

Step-by-step explanation:

(3x^2-2)(3x^2+3)

expand to remove the bracket

9x^4 + 9x^2 -6x^2 - 6

9x^4 + 3x^2- 6
