6 0

Answer: 60th term of sequence is 414

Step-by-step explanation: An = a + (n-1)d

                                             Here n=60, a=1, d=7

                                             A60 = 1+(60–1)7

                                             A60 = 1+(59)7

                                             A60= 1+413

                                             A60 = 414

                                             Hence 60th term of sequence is 414

What is the slope of the graph of 12x + 3y = –17?
garik1379 [7]
To get the slope you need to solve for y:
12x+3y=-17
Subtract 12x from both sides:
3y=-12x-17
Divide everything by 3:
y=-4x-17/3
The slope is -4.

Harmony earns a $42,000 salary in the first year of her career. Each year, she gets a 4%, percent raise.
marysya [2.9K]

Answer:

42000*1.04^(n-1)

Step-by-step explanation:

4% is equal to 0.04, a raise is 1+0.04=1.04

1.04 is now the number we are multiplying by to get a new yearly salary for Harmony.

42000*1.04^(n-1) since n is how many years after she has the job you have to raise it to the power and subtract one.

For which two beverages is the difference between the prices the greatest? what is the difference?
Anton [14]

Answer:

The biggest difference is between fruit juice and lemonade ($0.6).

Step-by-step explanation:

Giving the following information:

items:

fruit juice. $0.89

iced tea. $1.29

lemonade. $1.49

pretzel. $2.50

popcorn. $1.25

First, popcorn and pretzel are not beverages.

Now, we need to find the differences in prices between each beverage and determine the greatest:

Fruit juice to ice tea= 0.89 - $0.4

Fruit juice to lemonade= 0.89 - 1.49= $0.6

Ice tea to lemonade= 1.29 - 1.49= $0.2

The biggest difference is between fruit juice and lemonade ($0.6).

The task I need explaining is: how to show that an estimate of the mean time spent on homework is 64.8 minutes. Thanks!
xenn [34]
It's just an estimate. There's no telling how close it is.

To estimate using just the information in the table,
ASSUME that the average of all the students in each
slot is the average time of that slot.

I know that's confusing. I can't think of a better way to say it,
so here are two examples of what I mean. Look at the table:

-- 6 students said that they spent between 0 and 30 minutes.
   ASSUME that those 6 students averaged 15 minutes each.

-- 21 students said that they spent between 60 and 90 minutes.
   ASSUME that those 21 students averaged 75 minutes each.

So, when you add up the times for all 50 students, you'll have

(6 x 15 min) + (14 x 45 min) + (21 x 75min) + (9 x 105 min) =

When you total up all those times, divide it by 50 to estimate
the average per student.

Remember ... it's only an estimate.
If the first group had 1 student that spent 2 minutes, and
the other 5 of them spent 29 minutes, then it won't work.
But you'll never know.
