<h3>Most railroad tracks are built from pieces of steel supported by wooden ties, and laid with a gap between the ends. </h3>

Explanation:

The reasons are:

Firstly , the thermal expansion of solid at higher temperatures.

During the summer season, the steel tracks may expand due to thermal expansion and if gaps are not laid the tracks will bend and lead to accidents.

Secondly, imbibition of water during rainy season.

During the rainy season the wooden tracks will imbibe water and swell. If gaps are not provided, this may result irregular levels of railway track. This may prove very dangerous and lead to railway accident.

The distance from Earth to Neptune is approximately 4.3514×1012 meters. Select from the drop-down menu to correctly complete the
vichka [17]
The answer is 4.315 billion kilometers so it would be 4.315 x 10 to the 9th power if that is what is meant and Neptune is the eighth planet outward from the sun (the most distant planet from the sun) so it is a tremendous distance from the earth and would be very hard for humans to reach with such a distance.

What is the mRNA ? how do you read this ?
steposvetlana [31]

Answer:

The acronym mRNA means messenger ribonucleic acid, the nucleic acid responsible for transporting genetic information to the ribosome so that protein synthesis can occur.

Explanation:

Messenger ribonucleic acid or mRNA, is a nucleic acid responsible for containing the genetic code, organizing it into codons —depending on the specific sequence of nitrogenous bases— and taking it to the ribosome for translation and initiation of protein synthesis.

A codon is a sequence of three mRNA nucleotides, each of which encodes a specific amino acid, in addition to:

  • <em>Marking the start of protein synthesis, by means of the UAC start codon, which also encodes for amino acid methionine (MET). </em>
  • <em>Indicate the stop of protein synthesis, by means of the STOP codons </em>—<em>UAA, UAG and UGA</em>— <em>which do not code for amino acids. </em>

This can be seen in the table:

  1. The first line is the sequence of nitrogenous bases of one of the DNA strands.
  2. The second line should indicate the sequence of complementary bases of the other DNA strand, which will be transcribed. However, the presence of uracil indicates that it is the mRNA transcribed
  3. The third line is the sequence of nitrogenous bases in the mRNA strand, organized in triplets or codons.
  4. The fourth line expresses each of the amino acids and instructions found in the mRNA fragment that was transcribed methionine (start), lysine, tryptophan, proline and STOP (although GUU encodes the amino acid valine and is not a STOP codon).
