\bold{v_1}\circ\bold{v_2}=2\cdot(-1)+4\cdot5=-2+20=18\qquad [\text{C}]\\\\\\

\bold{v_1}= \langle2, 5\rangle\qquad \bold{v_2}= \langle4, -3\rangle\\\\\\
\bold{v_1}\circ\bold{v_2}=2\cdot4+5\cdot(-3)=8-15=-7\\\\||\bold{v_1}||=\sqrt{2^2+5^2}=\sqrt{4+25}=\sqrt{29}\\\\
||\bold{v_2}||=\sqrt{4^2+(-3)^2}=\sqrt{16+9}=\sqrt{25}=5\\\\\\

\cos\Theta=\dfrac{\bold{v_1}\circ\bold{v_2}}{||\bold{v_1}||\cdot||\bold{v_2}||}=\dfrac{-7}{5\cdot\sqrt{29}}\\\\\\
\cos\Theta=-\dfrac{7}{5\sqrt{29}}\quad\implies\quad\Theta=\arccos\left(-\dfrac{7}{5\sqrt{29}}\right)\\\\\\\boxed{\Theta\approx105,1^\circ}

Suppose a hexagonal traffic sign is dilated by a scale factor of 2.5 about its center. Which statement is true? A. The dilated s
xeze [42]

<em>Hexagonal</em> implies that the <em>traffic sign</em> has six straight sides. But <u>dilating</u> it changes its <em>length</em> of sides, but not its angles. So that the <em>statement</em> that is <u>true</u> is option B.

i.e B. The <u>dilated</u> sign will have corresponding line segments that are <em>proportional</em> to those of the pre-image and <u>corresponding</u> angles that are congruent to that of the pre-image.

Dilation involves <u>increasing</u> or <u>decreasing</u> the line segments of a given shape by a <em>scale factor</em>. This process do not affect the measure of the internal <u>angles</u> of the shape.

Given a <u>hexagonal</u> traffic sign in the question, this implies that the traffic sign has six sides. <u>Dilating</u> it by a scale factor of 2.5 about its center would affect its <em>length</em> of sides. So that the <em>statement</em> that is <u>true</u> is option B.

i.e B. The dilated sign will have <u>corresponding</u> line segments that are proportional to those of the pre-image and <em>corresponding</em> angles that are congruent to that of the pre-image.

Guessing you meant by a factor of 3... not 13 since none of the solutions are anywhere close to that.

to compress is to smoosh.
It's the equation of a line. If you smoosh it vertically the line becomes flatter and the slope smaller.

Essentially g(x) = 3f(x)
3y = 12x + 6
y = (12/3)x + 6/3
y = 4x + 2

3x-8&lt;23 and -4x+26&gt;6
Papessa [141]

Answer:

3x-8<23 and -4x+26>6

x<31/3            x<5

Step-by-step explanation:

3x-8<23

Add 8 to both sides

3x<31

Then divide 3 to both sides

x<31/3

and -4x+26>6

Minus 26 to both sides

-4x>-20

You divide -4 to both sides

Keep in mind that everytime you divide a negative the inequality will change so > will be <

x<5

What are questions 10-15?
AfilCa [17]

Answer:

10. 105

11. 75

12. 75

13. 105

14. 75

15. 105

Step-by-step explanation:

Notice that 75? Anything that is adjacent (has a common vertex like 75º) to the vertex is a linear pair. here is an example below:

Since there is only THAT 75, you must find the supplementary angle (adds up to 180). and remember in order to get a supplementary angle it has to be a STRAIGHT LINE and HAS TO EQUAL 180. (4, 1 in your image)

180 - 75 = 105.

and also it's also a linear pair so it reflects too which makes things a lot easier!

So, if 4 is 75 and it reflects, then that means 2 is also 75. 1 is 105 and it reflects so 3 has to be 105. and the same for the rest of the numbers.

Hope this makes sense

Which is the domain of the function shown in the mapping
erastova [34]
The domain is the x-values of a function, which are also known as the input. When writing down the domain, you write the numbers from least to greatest. Therefore, the correct answer is A.
