A rectangular deck has a length of 18 feet and a width of 16 feet. If a hot tub takes up a square that is 4 feet on each side in the middle of the deck, how much area is left on the deck? **Please show work if you can it would really help, Thanks**

 This is super simple! 16 x 18 288. We know it's a square (it has 4 sides) so 4 x 4 = 16. Now the hard part is done. All we have to do is 288 - 16. The answer is 272. 272 is the answer.
