Answer:

b: the use of loaded words leaves readers with a bad feeling about the people who oppose rbST

Explanation:

Loaded words like "so-called", "stirred up", and "extremists" are chosen for the purpose of creating bias against supporters of animal rights. The negative feelings these words create do not make one feel either superior or encouraged to join animal rights activists.

How does the phrase "gives me pleasure" help contribute to a tone of satisfaction in this excerpt?
Vinvika [58]
This sounds like a multiple choice, but if it isn't I'll just say what I think.

"It gives me pleasure" indicates that he is delighted to announce the news to Congress of the removal of the Native Americans. If we were to take away that section from the passage, it would read something like this:

"The benevolent policy of the Government, steadily pursued for nearly thirty years, in relation to the removal of the Indians beyond the white settlements is approaching to a happy consummation."

Now this sounds cheerful enough, because of the words benevolent (charitable) and happy, but the use of the phrase "gives me pleasure" really sets the tone for the paragraph, and let's you know right away how Jackson is feeling about his announcement.

I need help with genre. The options are: Fantasy, Historical fiction, Science fiction, and realistic fiction.
Law Incorporation [45]

4. Journey to the Centre of the Earth

Science Fiction

This is science fiction because although it is not a true story, it involves scientific concepts such as dinosaurs, volcanoes, and prehistoric man.

5. No Way In

Realistic Fiction

This gives a detailed description of what a high school student may go through whilst trying to fit into a new environment. This is relatable and this, it is realistic to what a high school student's experience is really like.

6. Bump in the Night

Historical Fiction

Although the characters and their part in this historical event are fictional, the historical event taking place is not fictional. It describes what a soldier experiences during a war and the psyche processes that take place.

This could be realistic fiction but as it involves the American Civil War, historical fiction is more relevant.
