Answer:

The cost of each slice of pizza is $ 14.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The combined total of  2 slices and 1 drink cost = $ 31.50

The price of each drink = $ 2.50

Let The number of slices = S

The number of drink = D

According to question

2 × S + 1 × D = $ 31.50

∵ 1 drink cost $ 2.50

So,  2 × S + 1 × D = $ 31.50

Or,  2 × S + 1 × $ 2.50 = $ 31.50

Or,  2 × S  = $ 31.50 - $ 2.50

Or , 2 × S  = $ 29

∴  S = \frac{29}{2} = $ 14.5

Hence The cost of each slice of pizza is $ 14.5   Answer
