The answer is 6,256. Multiply the ones place first and then if it's two digits put the tens digit above the next digit in the top number and then add that when you multiply the bottom ones place and the top tens place. BEFORE YOU MULTIPLY THE TENS PLACE OF THE BOTTOM NUMBER ALWAYS PUT A ZERO IN THE ONES PLACE. Next multiply the tens place of the bottom number to the ones place on the top number and then the tens place on the top number. And if there's a double digit keep the ones and carry the tens to the next place value. After that add the carried number to the product of the next digits. After that add the two numbers and get your answer.                                    92 X  68 ____   + 736   5520 _______     6256

suppose that a restaurant chain claims that its bottles of ketchup contain 24 ounces of ketchup on average, with a standard devi
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

The 96% confidence interval for the mean number of ounces of ketchup per bottle in the sample is 24 ± 0.029

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Mean, x = 24 ounces

Standard deviation, σ = 0.2 ounces

Sample Size, n = 49 bottles of ketchup

Confidence Interval of 95% (0.95)

To calculate the confidence at this level, the following steps are to be followed;

1. Calculating degree of freedom:

Degree of freedom (df) is calculated by subtracting 1 from the sample size.

df = n - 1

df = 49 - 1

df = 48

2. Subtract the confidence level from 1, then divide by two.

α = (1 – .95) / 2 = 0.025

3. Look up the answers to (1) and (2) in the t-distribution table.

For 48 degrees of freedom (df) and α = 0.025,

We get 2.0106

4. Divide sample standard deviation by the square root of sample size.

i.e σ/√n

= 0.2/√49

= 0.2/7

= 0.02857

= 0.029

5. Finally, the 95% confidence interval is calculated using the following illustration.

X ± result in step 5

Where x = 24

So, we have

24 ± 0.029

Victor has some model planes. Last weekend, Victor and his grandfather built four more model planes to add to his collection. No
tamaranim1 [39]

Answer:

x = 42 - 4

x = 38

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

Initial number of plane models = x

Number of additional models built = 4

Total number of planes = 42

Total = initial amount + additional amount

42 = x + 4

Make x the subject

42 - 4 = x + 4 - 4

x = 42 - 4

X + 4 = 42

X = 42 - 4

X = 38

How many eight-digit numbers can be formed if the leading digit cannot be zero and the last number cannot be 1 ?
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

128 unique numbers

Step-by-step explanation:

Since only 0 and 1 are to be used, an 8 digit number will have a leading 1. The rest 7 places are free to be either 0 or 1
