Answer:

Fraction: 1/ 5 n= 7

Step-by-step explanation:

To find n first you cross multiply : 2/ 10 * n / 35

= So we multiply 10 and n ( answer = 10n)

= Then 2 and 35 ( multiply) ( answer = 70)

Now algebra

70 = 10n

Divide both sides by 10

10n / 10 = 70 / 10

n = 7

The fraction becomes 7 / 35

When this is simplified the answer is 1 / 5

To simplify you divide the numerator and denominator of the fraction by 25 ( GCF )

A parabola is graphed such that the axis of symmetry is x = 3. One of the x-intercepts is (5, 0). What is the other x-intercept?
Stells [14]

The axis of symmetry is the fold line that splits the parabola down the middle.

Now, since a parabola is symmetrical, every point, except the vertex, will have a mirror image of another point if we folded the parabola over the axis of symmetry.

So if we know the axis of symmetry is x = 3 and one of our points

has the coordinates (5, 0), the other point will have the coordinates (3, 0).

The axis of symmetry is always halfway between the x-intercepts.

If a line segment contains one endpoint at (2,3) and has a midpoint of (-2,6) what is the second endpoint of the line segment
olchik [2.2K]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The coordinates of the midpoint M are the average of the coordinates of the two endpoints:

M_x = \dfrac{2+x}{2},\quad M_y = \dfrac{3+y}{2}

Plug the known coordinates of the midpoint:

-2 = \dfrac{2+x}{2},\quad 6 = \dfrac{3+y}{2}

Solve for x and y:

-4 = 2+x,\quad 12 = 3+y

x=-6,\quad y = 9

Given the Trapezoid ABCD<br><br> Find the length of AD <br><br> Pls hellpppp
matrenka [14]

Given:

In trapezoid ABCD, AD\parallel BC, MN is the mid-segment of ABCD, AD=30x-10,MN=31x+1,BC=30x+28.

To find:

The length of AD.

Solution:

We know that the length of the mid-segment of a trapezoids is half of the sum of lengths of two parallel sides of the trapezoid.

In trapezoid ABCD,

MN=\dfrac{AD+BC}{2}

31x+1=\dfrac{30x-10+30x+28}{2}

31x+1=\dfrac{60x+18}{2}

31x+1=30x+9

Isolate variable terms.

31x-30x=9-1

x=8

Now,

AD=30x-10

AD=30(8)-10

AD=240-10

AD=230

Therefore, the length of AD is 230.
