There is sequence of events that leads to menstruation in females; they are the menstrual phase, the follicular phase, the proliferative phase, ovulation, the luteal phase and the secretory phase. Each of these phases have characteristic events that lead to the progression of the menstrual cycle in women.

Ovulation 

<span>Ovulation can be defined as the release of eggs from women ovaries and it travel down the fallopian tube where  it can be possibly fertilized by a sperm cell. Also, ovulation normally last for a day and it usually occurred in the middle of a womans menstrual cycle which is about two weeks before her period.</span>
