How could the use of symbols help to reveal the central idea or message of a text

English

Answer:

Symbol helps create meaning and emotion in a story.

Explanation:

The use of symbols helps people understand the topic, the figurative meaning of the story. Symbols give traces to understand one’s experience. Symbols are used in literature to make an impact on the reader by adding another meaning to the words. This helps the writer pass the emotions to the readers in a more poetic way, not having to say everything very simple and clear.

Although the poems, "The Lamb" and "The Tyger," address the same concept, the tone is different in each.
denis-greek [22]

"The Lamb" is a poem written by William Blake published in "Songs of Innocence" in 1776. It is the counterpart to another Blake's poem called "The Tyger" which was also published in "Songs of Innocence".

In the first stanzas of "The Lamb", the poem has a naive and innocent tone, with the kid asking the questions with belief and hope that they are going to be answered. The tone of the poem is a gentle one in the first stanzas and a proud one in the second half of the poem, relating to the theme of purity and Christianity and how the child is confident in his believes.

"The Tyger" is the opposite of "The Lamb" when it comes to meaning and tone. It's tone is aggressive, dark, negative and overall serious to talk not only about the beast that the tyger is, but also as a contrast to the purity that the lamb represents, the tyger represents the other side of the same coin, the darkness and primal ferocity that lies in everything.

Umnica [9.8K]

Answer:

This story is an important part of both Greek and Roman mythology because it is a story that connects the two cultures. I think that this story could be adapted for our current culture because it addressed issues that are still prominent in our society today. I would create a contemporary version of “Proserpine” featuring an alcoholic (Pluto) a young woman walking home from work at night (Proserpine) and an old lady who witnessed the kidnapping (Hecate).

horsena [70]

Answer: A. The Balinese production portrays Ariel as an animal-like creature, while the Utah Valley University production has Ariel played by two dancers.

Explanation:

The Tempest is a play written by Shakespeare about a former Duke named Prospero and his daughter, Miranda who live on an island with Ariel and Caliban.

Ariel and Caliban have been depicted differently in various plays by the Balinese Production and the Utah Valley University Production.

In the Balinese production, Ariel is described as a small animal like creature with a long tail that is capable of flight.

In the Utah Valley Production however, Ariel is portrayed by two dancers whose bodies are painted and who have feathered leggings on.

All the sordid suggestions of the place were gone—in the twilight it was a vision of power.
Vikki [24]
It means that all the things that have the impression that the place was ugly and dull disappeared in the light of twilight. In the twilight it looked powerful and beautiful.
