I think that web diagramming is more of a writing strategy not a reading one. However I am not 100% sure! I'm sorry! I hope you get the correct answer!
I mostly use flash cards to where I ask my questions and answer them I also use mind mapping by selecting the hardest topic on each subject and focus on that
