Answer:
The First Time I Travel Abroad
Traveling abroad is a way that can help you gain and learn new perspectives and experiences of life. Journeys are filled with surprises and unexpected deviations which can take you on a path you may not have thought you would take. Therefore, when I think of my experience with traveling, I can’t help thinking in the quote by Danny Kaye that says: “To travel is to take a journey into yourself”.
As for me, contributing to the decision to study abroad wasn’t after I experienced traveling abroad through visiting famous places, learning about the cultures and traditions, and making relationships with the native ppl. I have never been abroad until the summer of June of 2017. My family and I went on a trip to France. We went there in a celebration of my graduation from high school. In my life, I have gone on many memorable and outstanding trips, but it was the first time that I leave my country and travel to another continent. Before the journey started, we packed up our bags a week early in order to prepare for the trip and not missing anything. I was thrilled like a small child who was going to buy a new toy. When The day finally came, I was extremely nervous about the flight because I haven’t traveled on a plane for long distance. We arrive at the airport before one hour of the flight departure because we didn’t know how long could take with the security procedure and inspections. The flight prolonged and took about 6 hours in total to fly to our destination, Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.

Before we went to the Eiffel Tower, we went on a bus with a tour guide that shows us the beautiful sightseeing in Paris. He was a well-informed person in a way that attracts people to listen to him about the country’s heritage which it was very interesting to me. Then, when we approach our destination, I was amazed by how spectacular and astounding of this architecture with all the details. After waiting for so long in the line, we got into the elevator in order to see the view from above. Once we got to the top of the tower, we saw the beautiful view of Paris, the city of lights, it was breathtaking and unforgettable. Also, I was so excited to visit the Arc de Triomphe which is one of the distinctive historical landmarks. This

Within these lines we see simile/metaphor, which is a
literary technique of making a comparison between two things that are generally
not considered similar in an effort to give readers a better understanding of
the topic being discussed. In the lines
we can see that the sound bees and flies make is being compared to the sound a
lute (which is a type of guitar) in order to give readers who might be familiar
with the sound of the lute (and unfamiliar with the sounds of nature) a basis
for comparison in the understanding of how the sound bees and flies
sounded. As such, what these lines are
saying is that the sound flies and bees made while they ate fruit sounded like
the music made by a lute.

Differences:
1. Speeches don't need to be as structured as essays.
2. Speeches require speaking and presentation in front of an audience whereas essays are presented in written form and are supposed to be read rather than presented verbally.
3. Finally, speeches are not as formal as essays. As pointed out in #2, speeches are to be presented verbally and therefore have sayings that may not necessarily be good to put on paper compared to saying them.
For example:
People say "y'all" meaning "you all". However, writing "y'all" in an essay is not proper.
