= 3×3×3×3×3

Here, 3 is multiplied 5 times. Hence, 5 is the power of the base and the base is 3.  

Example 2 - 13^3

Similarily, 13 is multiplied 3 times. Hence, 3 is the power of the base and 13 is the exponent .
