For this, we have to look at ratios between the prices.
so, for A, its $350 for 100 copies
if we take 350/100, you get that one copy is $3.50

using this info, we can solve for 40 papers. 40*3.5 is 140, so it would actually cost 140 dollars for 40 papers

now B.
150/40 is $3.75, so one copy is 3.75
so 100 copies. that would be 3.75*100 which is 375 for 100 copies

This is the table=
              A             B
1           3.5          3.75
40          140        150
100        350        375

so more cheaper is printer A

Brenda is making a dessert that takes 3.5 hours to prepare. If she wants to be finished by 1:15, at what time should she start??
dusya [7]
3.5 hours is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
1:15 is 1 hour and 15 minutes.

The question is asking at what time does she want to start and end up at 1 hour and 15 minutes? SO you add the time it takes for her to make the dessert with the time at which she ends.

TLTR?? 4:45

In an office, there are 75 women and 125 men .Find the ratio of
schepotkina [342]

Given:

In an office, there are 75 women and 125 men.

To find:

The ratio of the number of men to the number of women.

Solution:

We have,

Number of men = 125

Number of women = 75

The ratio of the number of men to the number of women is:

\text{Required Ratio}=\dfrac{\text{Number of men}}{\text{Number of women}}

\text{Required Ratio}=\dfrac{125}{75}

\text{Required Ratio}=\dfrac{5}{3}

\text{Required Ratio}=5:3

Therefore, the ratio of the number of men to the number of women is 5:3.

What would be the most logical first step for solving this quadratic equation.
Svetradugi [14.3K]
We need to put all elements in one side so that the other side is 0. Then, apply quadratic formula to solve the problem. To do that, we need to subtract both sides by 4.

what is the equation in point slope form of the line that is parallel to the given line and passes through the point (-3,1)?
Aleks04 [339]

Because you didn't give the line, it is impossible to write it completely. However, the line would be y - 1 = m(x + 3), in which m is the slope in the line.

We know this firstly because parallel lines have the same slope. So whatever the slope is to the given line, it must match the point-slope form.

So, we'll call this mystery slope m and then use the point in plug in the point into point-slope form.

y - y1 = m(x - x1)

y - 1 = m(x - -3)

y - 1 = m(x + 3)
