Answer:

A. Shows that he sees women as a great evil.

Explanation:

The epic poem "The Theogony" by Hesoid is basically the creation story or the birth of the gods, it's genealogy and the eventual birth of the world into existence. The whole poem begins with the goddess Gaia, who was thought to be the primordial being for everything on earth.

According to the myth, Gaia emerged out of the complete chaos that was the universe in the beginning. Then she gave birth to Uranus, and then came the other great Greek gods through them. Being the mother of every being on earth, she was responsible for the good and the bad that happened in the world. Bringing forth evil children, while also some good gods, Gaia was the main source and beginning of all the beings. Thus, the creation of humanity in the poem of Hesoid shows or depicts that women are evil.

Answer: As a male, I would not have been motivated to leave England for this environment because I would have thought of the possibility of fatal outcomes that would cause loss of life to me and my family over any opportunities of financial gains available in the colonies.

Explanation: The availability of any opportunities in the Chesapeake colonies would not have motivated me anymore once I had got to know about the fatal conditions there. The reason I would have chosen to stay back in England and take care of myself and my family would be the vulnerability to death prevalent in the Chesapeake colonies.

leonid [27]

Answer:

c. deviance is a product of economic conditions and is culturally passed from one generation to the next.

Explanation:

In sociology, the cultural transmission perspective was developed first by University of Chicago theorists who analyzed the records of county juvenile court records and after this analysis they reached the conclusion that the rates of delinquency decreased as they were farther away from the center of the city while the rates remained stable across the city neighborhoods. Then, they concluded that this happened because there were some characteristics inside the city and the city environment that sustained this criminal behavior (most likely attributed to economic conditions). Therefore, if we generalize this idea, they concluded that the city acts as a host for deviant behavior and these behaviors and countercultures are passed from one generation to the next thanks to this system.

Therefore, The cultural transmission perspective was developed in part from the research of a group of sociologists at the University of Chicago who concluded that c. deviance is a product of economic conditions and is culturally passed from one generation to the next.
