PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!! I really need to understand this for my math class. Any help is appreciated.
mr_godi [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

(f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x)

= (2x² - 9x) + (3x - 2) = 2x² - 6x - 2.

Therefore (f + g)(3) = 2(3)² - 6(3) - 2 = -2.

(f - g)(x) = f(x) - g(x)

= (2x² - 9x) - (3x - 2) = 2x² - 12x + 2.

Therefore (f - g)(-4) = 2(-4)² - 12(-4) + 2 = 82.

(g o f)(x)

= g(2x² - 9x) = 3(2x² - 9x) - 2 = 6x² - 27x -2.

(f o g)(x)

= f(3x - 2) = 2(3x - 2)² - 9(3x - 2) = 18x² - 51x + 26.

Answer:

Cost of one bush = 23

Cost of one tree = 47

Step-by-step explanation:

Let cost of bushes be x per piece

Let cost of trees be y per piece

First order : 13x + 4 y = 487    ----(1)

Second order : 6x + 2y = 232 -----(2)

multiply (1) by 6   => 78x + 24y = 2922 ----(3)

multiply (2) by 13 => 78x + 26y = 3016 -----(4)

(3) - (4) ==> -2y = -94

                    y = 47

Substitute y = 47 in (1) ==> 13x + 4(47) =487

                                         13x = 487 - 188

                                           13x = 299

                                             x = 23
