Answer:

John Marshall's rulings upheld a defense of property rights against public pressure in the Fletcher v. Peck case.

Option: (D)

Explanation:

 • The Fletcher versus Peck case of 1810 is deemed to be an important case because the judgment passed in this case ruled the act of the Georgia legislature to be unconstitutional of passing a privately owned land to some entity other than the owner of the land when the contract was still effective.
 • This was a milestone decision given by the Supreme Court which reestablished the sanctity of legal contracts.

Read the following excerpt from the sacred Maya book Popol Vuh. Note that in the excerpt, the Maya forefathers are talking to th
koban [17]

From the excerpt, I conclude that the Maya forefathers believed it was the fate of animals to be hunted and eaten. The key segment of this text is "Accept your destiny. Your flesh shall be torn to pieces." The forefathers mention they have changed their mind because animals were not able to adore or obey them.

Because animals cannot adore their creators, "there shall be those" who will be able to do all of this. These "others" are the humans, who will hunt and eat animals. Animals will then have to accept their destiny and "be changed," being sent to the ravines and the woods.

I think that the most reasonable conclusion is answer D.
