Each whole is made up of 5-1/5 pieces. 5x2=10+1/5=10 and 1/5

Well 1 divided by 5 is .2 so when you take that in consideration, you can place them in easier so 2*5 is 10 and add one so 11 1/5 cups  <span />

Kirsten runs an experiment for her Research Methods class in which she studies vocabulary learning in introductory-level French
Sidana [21]

Answer:

Kristen should use the paired <em>t</em>-test.

Step-by-step explanation:

The dependent t-test (also known as the paired t-test or paired-samples t-test) compares the two means associated groups to conclude if there is a statistically significant difference between these two means.

We use the paired t-test if we have two measurements on the same item, person or thing. We should also use this test if we have two items that are being measured with a unique condition.

For instance, an experimenter tests the effect of a medicine on a group of patients before and after giving the doses.

In this case, Kristen assesses the students' knowledge of French vocabulary at the start of the semester and then again at the end of the semester.

So, she collects data before and after the semester for vocabulary learning in introductory-level French class.

Thus, she is using a paired <em>t</em>-test to analyze whether the French students significantly increased their knowledge of French vocabulary.

The hypothesis is defined as:

<em>H₀</em>: There is no difference between the two means, i.e. <em>μ</em>₁ - <em>μ</em>₂ = 0.

<em>Hₐ</em>: There is a significant difference between the two means, i.e. <em>μ</em>₁ - <em>μ</em>₂ ≠ 0.

The test statistic is:

t =  Sample mean difference ÷ (Standard deviation of difference/ Sample size)

Thus, Kristen should use the paired <em>t</em>-test.

2. The average age of 25 students is 10years
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

12.7 years to the nearest tenth.

Step-by-step explanation:

The total of the ages for the 25 students = 10*25 = 250.

For the 30 students it is 15*30 = 450.

The average for the 2 classes = (250 + 450) / (25 + 30)

= 700 / 55

=  12.7 years to the nearest tenth.

Describe, in at least 3 sentences, the difference between when a quadratic function opens upward and downward.
fomenos
There is an easy way to tell whether the graph of a quadratic function opens upward or downward: if the leading coefficient is greater then zero, the parabola opens upward, and if the leading coefficient is less than zero, the parabola opens downward. Study the graphs below: Figure %: On the left, y= x2.

Please Solve for n and thank you
kotegsom [21]

To solve for n, you are trying to get n by itself on one side of the equation.

n/5 + 0.6 = 2

Subtract 0.6 on both sides

n/5 = 1.4

Multiply 5 on both sides to get n by itself

n = 7
