Answer : Option A) LiOH.

Explanation : Most of the bases that exists, will have OH in their molecule. This is considered to be the easiest method to find out which is base. Whereas in case, of Acids they should have H ions in their compound. So, from the given choices the best and easiest way was to look for OH and determine a base i.e. in LiOH molecule.

Name the types of radiation known to be emitted by radioactive elements.
nikitadnepr [17]

Answer : The types of radiation known to be emitted by radioactive elements are, alpha particles, beta particles, or gamma rays.

Explanation :

Radioactive decay : It the process in which an unstable atomic nucleus loses energy by emitting the radiations like, alpha particles, beta particles, or gamma rays.

The naturally occurring radioactive elements are, radium, thorium, and uranium.

Alpha particle : It is also known as alpha radiation or alpha ray that consists of 2 protons and 2 neutrons that are bound together into a particle that is identical to the helium nucleus. It is produced in the process of alpha decay.

Beta particle : It is also known as beta radiation or beta ray. During the beta decay process, a high energy and speed electron or positron are emitted by the radioactive decay of atomic nucleus.

Gamma particle : It is also a gamma radiation or gamma ray that is arising from the radioactive decay of atomic nuclei. It has shortest wavelength waves and imparts high photon energy can pass through most forms of matters because they have no mass.

Where did they start water conservation in tamil nadu . short answer
OleMash [197]

Explanation:

The 2019 water crisis in Chennai has made us realize the importance of saving water more than ever. Water, as we all know, is a finite resource without which our planet would be a barren wasteland. Today with our increasing population it would be logical to say that our water consumption has also increased. And with increasing demand and lesser supply, water scarcity arises. Our ancestors who had foreseen the potential dangers of water scarcity had developed methods to conserve water that was suited for the varied terrain of the Tamil-speaking kingdoms.

Traditional Rainwater Conservation methods of Tamil Nadu

Eri

There are no perennial rivers in Tamil Nadu except the Thamirabharani River which flows through Thirunelveli district. And so, several hundred years ago a simple system was devised to utilize the rainwater to the fullest. An Eri or tank system is one of the oldest forms of water conservation systems in India. Many Eris are still in use in Tamil Nadu and play an active role in irrigation. They act as water reservoirs and flood control systems. They prevent soil erosion, recharge groundwater, and prevent wastage of runoff water during heavy rainfall.

Kudimaramathu

Kudimaramathu is one of the old traditional practice of stakeholders participating in the maintenance and management of irrigation systems. During earlier days, citizens of a village used to actively participate in maintaining the water bodies of their village by deepening and widening the lakes and ponds and restoring the water bodies back to their original form. The silt, rich in nutrients, collected in the process would be used by the farmers themselves in their field. A sense of collective ownership ensured the continued survival of the water bodies.

Is the following true or false every element in the periodic table follows the aufbau principle
gulaghasi [49]

Answer:

True

Explanation:

It is true that every element in the periodic table follows the Aufbau's principle.

The principle states that "the sublevels with lower energies are filled up before those with higher energies".

  • Sublevels do not fill up in numerical order.
  • This is true when writing the electronic configuration of all atoms on the periodic table.

Stella [2.4K]
<span>Answer: option D) Conditions over the oceans change slowly because water takes more time than land to gain or lose heat.

This is because water has a high heat capacity meaning that, with the same amount of heat, it will change its temperature less than what substances with lower heat capacities do.
