First, the surgeon will usually put you asleep during the surgery under a general anesthesia by inserting a tube in your throat to give you anesthesia and help you breath while you are asleep during the surgery.

After that, an intravenous line will be started for you to received fluids and medicines such as antibiotics.  Then, a catheter tube will be put in your bladder to drain the urine and a special stockings will be placed on your legs to prevent blood clots.  Finally, you are now ready for a robotic hysterectomy surgery.
