Which steps could be used to solve this story problem? Krissy had 32 bagels. She gave an equal number of bagels to each child. T

here were 5 boys and 3 girls. How many bagels did the girls get altogether? A. Multiply 32 by 5. Multiply 32 by 3. Add the two products together. B. Add 5 and 3. Then multiply the sum by 32. C. Subtract 3 from 5. Then divide 32 by the difference. D. Add 5 and 3. Divide 32 by this sum. Then multiply the quotient by the number of girls.

D, because it said that Krissy had equally distributed the bagels to each child, so 32/8=4, and then it asked how many bagels did the girls get all together, so it's 4x3=12

Martin has 5/6 of a pizza. Liam has 4 times as much pizza as Martin.
Novosadov [1.4K]

Answer:

Liam has 3 whole pizza along with 1/3 of a pizza.

In decimal,  Liam has 3.33 of Pizza.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Quantity of pizza with Martin = 5/6 of a pizza

Pizza with Liam = 4*Quantity of pizza with Martin

Pizza with Liam = 4*5/6 of a pizza

Pizza with Liam = 10/3 of a pizza = 3 1/3 of pizza.

Thus, Liam has 3 whole pizza along with 1/3 of a pizza.

In decimal Liam has 3.33 of Pizza.

Evgesh-ka [11]

Answer:

-52, and the opposite of this is 52.

Step-by-step explanation:

If we are losing 52 pounds, then our number is -52 since we are losing 52 pounds (adding a negative number to a positive number is the same as subtracting that number).

The opposite of a number is when we negate the number, or multiply it by -1.

A negative number times a negative number is a positive number.

-52\cdot-1 = 52\cdot1 = 52

Hope this helped!

Suppose m = 2 + 6i, and | m + n | = 3√10, where n is a complex number.
Ksju [112]

Answer: a) √50

b) n = 1 + 7i

Step-by-step explanation:

first, the modulus of a complex number z = a + bi is

IzI = √(a^2 + b^2)

The fact that n is complex does not mean that n doesn't has a real part, so we must write our numbers as:

m = 2 + 6i

n = a  + bi

Im + nI = 3√10

Im + n I = √(a^2 + b^2 + 2^2 + 6^2)= 3√10

            = √(a^2 + b^2 + 40) = 3√10

             a^2 + b^2 + 40 = 3^2*10 = 9*10 = 90

             a^2 + b^2 = 90 - 40 = 50

            √(a^2 + b^2 ) = InI = √50

The modulus of n must be equal to the square root of 50.

now we can find any values a and b such a^2 + b^2 = 50.

for example, a = 1 and b = 7

1^2 + 7^2 = 1 + 49  = 50

Then a possible value for n is:

n = 1 + 7i
