(b) Suppose RT= 9 in. and ST = 4 in. Is it possible to find the length of TU ? If so, show how to find the length. If not, explain why not.

Answer: The relationship within the circle is that TU square is equal to ST times TR.

Therefore, we can write and solve the following equation.

TU^2 = 4(9)
x^2 = 36
x = 6
