OK so first the box and whisper box the way I did it was I drew a line and labeled the numbers 41.2, 44.8, 53.9, 64.5, 73.9, 82.7, 87.2, 85.1, 78.2, 67, 56.3, and 46 but put them I. order on the line. now you only have to put a dot for b,c,d. the median is 60.4 because the amount of numbers is positive because its 12 so you do the two middle numbers which is 56.3 and 64.5. you add those two together and divide by two which will give you 60.4. for c I think the answer are below the median and d are above the median and then e could be its warmer in the summer time and colder: n the winter or something like that

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose we have given temperature are: 42,46,54,65,75,85,29,31,39,48,57,67,89,87,80,68,58,46,73,71,64,52,43,33.

a)- So, the Box plot of this data is drawn in graph.

b)- Median = 57.50

We have 24 temperatures. For finding the Median: Firstly we arrange data in ascending or descending order, after that we take the middle value of data, here we have two values 57 & 58 (Since the length of data is even number). After that, we find the average of both number which is 57.50 (These is also clear by Box plot, the middle line drawn in the box is median)

c)- 71.50 It can be found by the Third Quartile, It can be found manually or by box plot ( the top endpoint of the box represents the third quartile).

d)- 45.25 It can be found by First Quartile, It can be found manually or by box plot ( the bottom endpoint of the box represents the first quartile).

e)- The conclusion we get is:

The lowest temperature in Maryland is 29 (it is the lowest point of whisker).

The highest temperature in Maryland is 89 (it is the highest point of whisker).

The average temperature in Maryland is 58.42

According to the synthetic division below, which of the following statements are true?
statuscvo [17]

A, D and E are correct

given ( x - 4 ) is a factor then x =  4 is a root

the remainder on division by (x - 4 ) = 0 as indicated by the 0 on the right side of the quotient

(x - 4 ) is a factor of 3x² - 13x + 4 → A

the number 4is a root of f(x) = 3x² - 13x + 4 → D ( explained above )

thus 3x² - 13x + 4 ÷ (x - 4 ) = 3x - 1 → E

the quotient line 3 - 1 0

3 and - 1 are the coefficients of the linear quotient and 0 is the remainder

A rectangular box has a square base. The combined length of a side of the square base, and the height is 20 in. Let x be the len
aniked [119]

Answer:

a. V = (20-x) x^{2} in^{3}

b . 1185.185 in^{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

  • The height:  20  - x (in )
  • Let x be the length of a side of the base of the box (x>0)

a. Write a polynomial function in factored form modeling the volume V of the box.

As we know that, this is a rectangular box has a square base so the Volume of it is:

V = h *x^{2} in^{3}

<=> V = (20-x) x^{2}  in^{3}

b. What is the maximum possible volume of the box?

To  maximum the volume of it, we need to use first derivative of the volume.

<=> dV / Dx = -3x^{2} + 40x

Let dV / Dx = 0, we have:

-3x^{2} + 40x  = 0

<=> x = 40/3

=>the height h = 20/3

So  the maximum possible volume of the box is:

V = 20/3 * 40/3 *40/3

= 1185.185 in^{3}

Select whether the triangle is inscribed in the circle, circumscribed about the circle, or neither.
Ganezh [65]
Neither inscribed in the circle, nor circumscribed about it! 2 if the sides of the triangle are TANGENT to the circle, which means just touching at one point
