k^{-4}=\dfrac{1}{256}\\\\k^{-4}=\dfrac{1}{4^4}\\\\k^{-4}=4^{-4}\Rightarrow \boxed{k=4}\to\boxed{B.}\\\\\text{But k=-4 is solution too, because}:\\\\(-4)^{-4}=\dfrac{1}{(-4)^4}=\dfrac{1}{256}\\\\\text{Therefore the solution is 4 and -4}\to\boxed{B.\ and\ C.}\\\\Used:\\\\a^{-n}=\dfrac{1}{a^n}

1/256 is 0.00390625

and you have to add 4 to both sides to get k by itself. So k is:

k = 4.00390625

So I would just put B

Solve: |4x + 5| + 8 >(or equal to)45
KatRina [158]
This is pretty simple once you get used to this

First set it equal to the original and the negative one
(>_) is the bigger and equal to part

4x+5>_45 or 4x+5>_-45

Then solve for x for both

4x>_40. 4x>_-50
X>_10 X>_-25/2

Solutions of 3x+2y=4 and 6x+4y=8
Alecsey [184]

Answer:

Infinite solutions

Step-by-step explanation:

1) First, you can solve this easily by elimination. Multiply the first equation by -2 in order to cancel out terms when adding to the second equation.

2) Then, add the new set of equations together. However, everything cancels out, bringing us to 0 = 0. This means that the lines the equations make must be the same. Thus, all real numbers must make this equation true, meaning that there are infinite solutions.
