Answer:

37 and 39

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x-------> the first odd number

x+2----> the second consecutive odd number

we know that

x+\frac{x+2}{3}=50 ----> linear equation that represent the situation

solve for x

Multiply by 3 both sides

3x+(x+2)=150

4x=148

x=37

Find the second consecutive odd number

x+2=37+2=39

The intervals on the vertical axis make it appear that the height is nearly same , Option A is the right answer.

What is a Graph ?

A graph is a mathematical representation of data and numbers , It is helpful in understanding the data collected or the results obtained.

It is given that the bar graph given shows the heights that students were able to clear on the pole vault.

As looking at the graph it can be seen that the interval size should be decreased to get the value between 12 and 16.

The statement that best tells why the graph could be misleading is Option A

The intervals on the vertical axis make it appear that the height is nearly same .

Plzzzzz helpppp with my mathhh
soldi70 [24.7K]
The answer is 15 because to the the lenght of the missing number you have to use the Pythagorean Theorem.So first you have to use c^2=a^2 +b^2.
25^2=20^2 + b^2 then 625=400 + b^2. 625-400= 225. So what equals 225. The answer is 15. Hope this helps

One 16-oz can of vegetable soup cost $1.78. Two pints of vegetable soup cost $3.17. Which option is the better deal?
aleksklad [387]
One 16 oz can of veggie soup cost $ 1.78......1.78/16 = 0.11 per oz

1 pint = 16 oz......so 2 pints = (2 * 16) = 32 oz

so 32 oz ( or 2 pints) of veggie soup cost $ 3.17.....3.17/32 = 0.10 per oz

so the better deal (the cheapest one) is the 2 pints for $ 3.17

A student is taking a 3 question multiple choice test. Each question has 4 options. If all the students completely guessed on ev
Oksanka [162]

Answer: Second graph.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have 3 questions, and each question has 4 options.

Then, the probability to having one question correct by selecting an option at random is 1/3 = 0.25.

Now, the probability of answering incorrectly the question is 1 - 0.25 = 0.75

Now let's analyze the options:

Having the 3 questions wrong.

Here we have 3 times the probability of 0.75, then the joint probability is:

P = 0.75*0.75*0.75 = 0.42

Whit this we can discard the third graph, now let's calculate the probability of having one answer correct.

The probabilities are two times 0.75 and one times 0.25, but in this case, we have 3 possible combinations ( the correct one is the first, the correct one is the second, the correct one is the third) so we need to also add a factor of 3.

P = 0.75*0.75*0.25*3 = 0.42

Whit only these two calculations we can see that the correct graph is the second graph.

We could also calculate the probabilities of having 2 correct answers (again, here we have 3 permutations, this time for the incorrect answer):

P = 0.25*0.25*0.75*3 = 0.14

The probability of having 3 correct answers is:

P = 0.25*0.25*0.25 = 0.02
