There are many irrational numbers between 4 an 9, so Mr. DeMouy is right. Two possible examples can be, 4.01001000100001...... another example would be 8.010100100010000100000....... These numbers are irrational because they're non-terminating so it goes on forever.

How do you factor this? x^{2} + 5 x- 9 = ?
Oksanka [162]
x^2+5x-9\\\\a=1;\ b=5;\ c=-9\\\Delta=b^2-4ac\\\\\Delta=5^2-4\cdot1\cdot(-9)=25+36=61 > 0\\\\x_1=\dfrac{-b-\sqrt\Delta}{2a}\ and\ x_2=\dfrac{-b+\sqrt\Delta}{2a}\\\\\sqrt\Delta=\sqrt{61}\\\\x_1=\dfrac{-5-\sqrt{61}}{2\cdot1}=\dfrac{-5-\sqrt{61}}{2}\\\\x_2=\dfrac{-5+\sqrt{61}}{2\cdot1}=\dfrac{-5+\sqrt{61}}{2}\\\\x^2+5x-9=\left(x-\dfrac{-5-\sqrt{61}}{2}\right)\left(x-\dfrac{-5+\sqrt{61}}{2}\right)

The concentration C (in mg/dl), of a certain antibiotic in a patient's bloodstream is given by C(t)=50 t /(t^2 + 25) where t is
marishachu [46]
Given that the concentration has been modeled by the formula:
C(t)=50t/(t^2+25)
where:
t is time in hours.
The concentration after 5 hours will be given by:
t= 5 hours
plugging the value in the equation we get:
C(5)=(50(5))/(5^2+25)
simplifying the above we get:
C(5)=250/(50)=5 mg/dl

Answer: 5 mg/dl
