Triticale is a cross-bred plant of wheat and rye. It is an artificial variety produce by the interspecies cross pollination between rye and wheat plant. It can be used as a forage crop for feeding the cattle and poultry, can be used as a protein derivative and also used for making bread and pasta along with using wheat as an ingredient. It posses some qualities like parent plants like disease resistance like wheat and vigor resistance like rye plant.
