Answer:

Homeostasis refer to as the maintainence of equillibrium within the body. Endocrine systems play a major role in maintainence of equillibrium. The hormones released are continuously inactivated by negative feeback system to maintain homeostsis.

Explanation:

Homeostasis in a body is refered as a dynamic equillibrium which constantly changes. Feedback regulation systems maintain homeosatsis.

The release of hormones into the blood is controlled by a stimulus. A stimulus can increase or decrease the release of hormones. The response to a stimulus changes the internal conditions and may itself become a new stimulus. This self-adjusting mechanism is called feedback regulation.

There are two types of feedback systems.

Negative feedback occurs when the response to a stimulus reduces the original stimulus. Positive feedback occurs when the response to a stimulus increases the original stimulus.

If the hormones released are not controlled by these feedback systems, enormous amount of hormones will change the whole internal enviornment of the body ,hence, equillibrium will be disturbed and result in death of cells and death of an indivisual.

identify two cell structures that are missing from Clara’s model and the function of those cell structures. (e.g. ribosome)
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

Cell structures which can be seen missing from Clara's model are:

Ribosomes: Ribosomes are the organelles which are involved in the synthesis of proteins Hence, it is the site where translation occurs. The mRNA travels to the ribosomes once formed. Usually, ribosomes which are attached to rough endoplasmic reticulum are the sites where translation occurs.

Golgi-complex: Golgi-complex is the organelle which is involved in the modification and packaging of proteins. Such modifications allows the protein to be transported outside the cell without being degraded.

HIV can remain latent for several years and not cause any symptoms in its host. What viral reproduction cycle is occurring durin
lakkis [162]

Answer:

The lytic cycle.

Explanation:

HIV is a retrovirus that has a special enzyme called transcriptase reverse, which can synthesize DNA using RNA as a template. This replication system is particularly useful for the virus because the DNA synthesized from the RNA viral genome can be then integrated into the human chromosomes and stay inactive for years. This is called a lysogenic cycle and is characterized by a latency of the virus and an integration to the host DNA.

When there is a triggering event, this latent virus can be excised from the human chromosome and start producing copies of itself using the host machinery. Then the virions are assembled and after that they lyse the host cell and release new infective units that can then infect neighboring cells. This is called the lytic cycle of the virus and is the reproduction cycle that occurs when a person moves into the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) stage of HIV infection.

first, drag the labels of group 1 to their respective targets to identify the types of sugars and the type of reaction shown.
Tasya [4]

drag the labels of group 1 to their respective targets to identify the types of sugars and the type of reaction shown .Disaccharide is created when a monosaccharide undergoes a dehydration event (loses water).

nomenclature and structures

The word "carbohydrate" refers to the majority of simple carbohydrates, which have the general elemental composition Cx(H2O)y. It is derived from the German "kohlenhydrate" and the related French "hydrate de carbone." According to the following imbalanced equation, their composition is related to the fact that they are created by photosynthesis from carbon dioxide and water:

Sugar + O2 + CO2 + H2O

The vast majority of naturally occurring carbohydrates present in living things, however, do not have the straightforward empirical formula Cx(H2O)y. Instead, the majority of naturally occurring carbohydrates are composed of oligomers (oligosaccharides or polymers (polysaccharides [Chapter 4]) by combining sugars with the other components of other molecules monosaccharide.
