Miranda made 6.88 pounds of trail mix. She used 4.96 pounds of granola for the mix. Miranda wrote the equation w + 4.96 = 6.88 t

o represent the weight of other ingredients,w, she used for the trail mix. Write a subtraction equation you could use to find the weight ,w, of the other ingredients Miranda used.

Step 1: to solve this equation first subtract 4.9 from both sides.

w + 4.9 - 4.9 = 6.88 - 4.9

When you reduce that your answer should be w = 1.92

Therefore the weight of ingredients other than granola in Miranda's trail mix is 1.92

Suppose payments were made at the end of each month into an ordinary annuity earning interest at the rate of 4.5%/year compounde
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

each payment = $214.20

Step-by-step explanation:

For ordinary annuity,

FVOA = PMT x [{(1+r/m)^(n*m)} - 1/(r/m)]

Here, FVOA = $50,000

year, n = 14

Since the interest will be paid monthly, m = 12

interest rate, r = 4.5% = 0.045

PMT = ?

Putting all the values into the ordinary annuity formula,

FVOA = PMT x [{(1+r/m)^(n*m)} - 1/(r/m)]

$50,000 = PMT x [{(1+0.045/12) ^ (14*12)} - 1/(0.045/12)]

or, $50,000 = PMT x [{(1+0.045/12) ^ (14*12)} - 1/(0.045/12)]

or, $50,000 = PMT x [(1.8754 - 1)/0.00375]

or, $50,000 = PMT x [(1.8754 - 1)/0.00375]

or, $50,000 = PMT x 233.4399

or, PMT = $50,000/233.4399

PMT = $214.19

or, monthly payment will be $214.20 (Nearest cent)

Find the sum of the first 8 terms of the series. 1/2 + 1 + 2 + 4

A rocket is launched into the air. The height h(t), in yards, of the rocket is a function of time, t, in seconds, as shown in th
Vesna [10]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Average rate of change is the same thing as the slope.  Because this is parabolic, we cannot find the exact rate of change as we could if this were a linear function.  But we can use the same idea.  When t = 3, h(t) = 33, so the coordinate point is (3, 33).  When t = 6, h(t) = 0, so the coordinate is (6, 0).  Plug those values into the slope formula:

m=\frac{0-33}{6-3} and

m=\frac{-33}{3} which is -11

From 3 to 6 seconds, the rocket is falling 11 yards per second.
