The ratio of the number of Yankee fans to Red Sox fans is 5:4 Then there are 72 players

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, the ratio of players to fans is 4 : 20

The ratio of the number of Yankee fans to Red Sox fans is 5:4.

There are 200 Yankee fans.

We have to find how many players are there?

Now, for 5 yankee fans ⇒ 4 red sox fans

Then, for 200 yankee fans ⇒ “n” red sox fans

So, by chris cross method,

\begin{array}{l}{5 \times n=4 \times 200} \\\\ {\rightarrow 5 n=800 \rightarrow n=160}\end{array}

So, there are 200 yankee fans and 160 red sox fans

Then, total number of fans = 200 yankee + 160 red sox = 360 fans

Now, we know that,

For 4 players ⇒ 20 fans

Then, “p” ⇒ 360 fans

Now, by chris cross method,

\begin{array}{l}{4 \times 360=20 \times p} \\\\ {\rightarrow 20 p=4 \times 360} \\\\ {\rightarrow 2 p=4 \times 36} \\\\ {\rightarrow p=2 \times 36 \rightarrow p=72}\end{array}

Hence, there are 72 players

Classify -55 rational , whole or integer pls
Softa [21]
(-55) is all, a rational, whole, and an integer. This is so because -55 is a terminating decimal when written that way, and is a whole number because it doesnt have a fraction, also it is an integer because it can be placed on a numberline. Can you please rate this as a brainliest answer please, i really need the points! Thanks

An analyst takes a random sample of 25 firms in the telecommunications industry and constructs a confidence interval for the mea
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

The standard error decreases and the width of the confidence interval also decreases.

Step-by-step explanation:

The standard error of a distribution (E) is given as:

E=z_{\frac{\alpha}{2} }*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n} }

Where n is the sample size, z_{\frac{\alpha}{2} } is the z score of he confidence and \sigma is the standard deviation.

The sample size is inversely proportional to the standard error. If the sample size is increased and everything else is constant, the standard would decrease since they are inversely proportional to each other. The confidence interval = μ ± E = (μ - E, μ + E). μ is the mean

The width of the confidence interval = μ + E - (μ - E) = μ + E - μ + E = 2E

The width of the confidence interval is 2E, therefore as the sample size increase, the margin of error decrease and since the width of the confidence interval is directly proportional to the margin of error, the width of the confidence interval also decreases.

A standard cylinder of oxygen used in a hospital has gauge pressure = 2000 psi (13,800 kPa) and volume = 14 L (0.014 m3) at T =
Serhud [2]

Answer:

901.52 minutes

Step-by-step explanation:

To do this, we need to assume that the temperature is constant in all the process here. If this is true, then we can also assume that this is a case of an isothermal expansion, therefore, the expression to use is the following:

P1V1 = P2V2

Let P2 the atmospherical pressure, and V2 would be the remaining volume of the oxygen. The atmospherical pressure reported is 1 atm or 101.3 kPa

Solving for V2 in this expression we have the following:

13,800 * 14 / 101.3 = 1907.21 L

As this is a low pressure gas, part of it's volume will remain in the cylinder, so, we have to substract these 14 L to V2 to get the real volume of the remaining gas:

1907.21 - 14 = 1893.21 L

And we have now the flux which is 2.1 L/min, so:

t = V/F

t = 1893.21 / 2.1

t = 901.52 min.
