Which statement best describes the author's perspective?
MatroZZZ [7]

The perspective of an author is to follow the model of Los Angeles and not building newer facilities for hosting the event of Olympic Games.

What is the significance of the Olympic Games?

Olympic Games are the biggest events in the sporting history, and hold the highest honor for an athlete. Due to world-class facilities being provided, it is a costly expense.

However, the author intends to tell that the model of LA where the infrastructure of existing buildings and complex were used for hosting the Olympic Games shall be followed by other countries as well.

Hence, option A holds true regarding the author's perspective on hosting the Olympic Games.

Wittaler [7]

Answer:

1. Passage 1 is the most romantic.

2. The passage shows details such as: the influence of nature in history, being a living part of the narrative and escapism.

Explanation:

Passage 1 can be considered a more romantic passage from the Gothic and this is noticeable right at the beginning of the paragraph, where it shows that the lonely child escaped his sadness and problems when he went to the forest. This is a feature called "escapism" that is very common in romantic literature. This characteristic refers to the distraction from reality and pleasant daydreams that the character has.

In addition, the passage shows nature as something alive, in addition to being a statistical setting. In this passage, nature has a great influence, in addition to the text showing that it is a palpable organism capable of establishing great deeds and capable of interacting with the character. This is also a striking feature of romanticism.

Examples of conflict in the selfish giant
m_a_m_a [10]

Answer:

Hope this helps. Children are naturally good and not wicked. The author implies that this goodness can be transferred into the world around them. People need to look at things more through the eyes of a child - simplistic and not so dreary all of the time. Try to see the good in the bad around us. Try to remember that redemption has a great message in this story. The author is supposedly writing from a christian point of view and even symbolizes Christ with the child. The garden, the paradise, etc are about heaven or what he would think heaven would look like. This story also uses nature - the plants, animals, etc... and even the weather - to show that all of that is ordered by God. The bible even states that if his people will not praise Him, then the rocks will cry out. This story deals with not being selfish and loving others. Charity is another word for Love in the Bible. Charity is really unselfish love. Here are some more ideas of conflict in the story:

building the high wall and putting spikes around the garden

children longingly looking into the garden but having to exist on the dirty roads

Spring refused to come

The children slowly were sneaking into the garden, and Spring followed them.....
