<span>It affected her by having endless pain I her feet through her whole life, she also couldn't run around and jump which takes out one of the main factors of a fun in her childhood. In the text it says "Adeline you are so lucky in my day you would have to get your feet bound at a very young age, If you didn't have them bound then you were considered not pretty." Therefore she couldn't have lived a normal life without being looked at or teased. This is why Adeline is lucky they changed that custom of culture </span>
