John, Karl, and Marcus each have a different favorite subject: math, English, and science. Each also has a different favorite color: green, blue, and black. Marcus likes black, the guy that likes science likes blue, and Karl likes math.

I believe John is the answer because 
Karl likes math and can't be the blue guy cause he like math not science
Also it can't be Marcus because he like black and the science guy likes blue.
