Find the rate of change in the table

Mathematics
1 answer:

Answer:

I'm pretty sure it's +(-6).

Step-by-step explanation:

Basically for these, you find the slope. The slope equation is y1-y2/x1-x2.

Pick two points.

I'll just do (1,15) and (2,9).

15-9/1-2 = 6/-1 = -6.

I don't know if you were taught it this way, but my math teacher always told us that the rate of change had to be positive.

So you'd say the rate of change is +(-6), not -6.

Hope that sorta helped lol

What is the measure of JK?
A. 35
B. 55°
C. 145°
D. 125°
Brut [27]

Answer:

125 degrees.

Step-by-step explanation:

L is the midpoint of NK so the arcs NM and Mk are equal.

So MK = 55 degrees and the arcs JN and JK are equal

Therefore

JK =

(360 - 2*55)/2

= (360 - 110) / 2

= 250 /2

= 125 degrees.

A rock is dropped from a height of 88.6 m and falls toward Earth in a straight line. In t seconds the rock falls 4.9t2 meters.
Allushta [10]

Answer:

The average speed is 9.8 meter per second in the first two seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

Complete Question

What is the average velocity of the rock in first 2 secs?

Solution

Distance travelled in first two seconds

4.9 t^2 = 4.9*2*2 = 19.6 m

Average speed = S2-S1/2 = 19.6-0/2 = 9.8 meter per second

Is x^(-2)+5 a polynomial expression? Why or why not?
SIZIF [17.4K]
Thanks for the correction. Answer: No, x^(^-^2^)+5 is a polynomial expression because it has a break between numerical exponents. It goes from 0x^1 to x^2, which makes it in the form of x^{2} to x^0 which means that it is NOT a polynomial.
