Yes.  Throughout the book, he has matured with every trial and adventure that he faced.  All through his trials, he has developed his skills in finding ways to solve whatever obstacle gets in his path.  He was calm and patient as he waited for the right to reclaim his throne and punish the suitors who tried to steal it and his wife.
