Answer:

4Joules

Step-by-step explanation:

According to Hooke's law which states that extension of an elastic material is directly proportional to the applied force provide that the elastic limit is not exceeded. Mathematically,

F = ke where

F is the applied force

K is the elastic constant

e is the extension

If a spring exerts a force of 6 N when stretched 3 m beyond its natural length, its elastic constant 'k'

can be gotten using k = f/e where

F = 6N, e = 3m

K = 6N/3m

K = 2N/m

Work done on an elastic string is calculated using 1/2ke².

If the spring is stretched 2 m beyond its natural length, the work done on the spring will be;

1/2× 2× (2)²

= 4Joules

Indicate the general rule for the arithmetic sequence with a3 = -12 and a8 = -37. an = -2 + (n-1)(-5) an = -2 + (n-1)(5) an = 2

From the 3rd term to the 8th term, we'd need to use the "common difference" or "d", 5 times, namely add it that many times, to get the 8th term, thus

\bf \begin{array}{ll}
term&value\\
\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}&\text{\textemdash\textemdash\textemdash}\\
a_3&-12\\
a_4&-12+d\\
a_5&-12+d+d\\
a_6&-12+d+d+d\\
a_7&-12+d+d+d+d\\
a_8&-12+d+d+d+d+d\\
&-12+5d\\
&-37
\end{array}\implies -12+5d=-37
\\\\\\
5d=-25\implies d=\cfrac{-25}{5}\implies d=-5

we know the 3rd term is -12, so the first one has to be -12+5+5, undoing the -5's, so the first term is -2.

A simple moving average a. is a cumulative breadth measure b. is constructed from various randomly selected interviews of retail
Andreas93 [3]

Answer:

d. is constructed by totaling a set of data and dividing that total by the number of observations

Step-by-step explanation:

Moving average is a method of calculation that is use to analyze the data points by making a series of averages of the various subsets in the full data set. Its another name is rolling average or moving mean.

A simple moving average is constructed by taking the sum of a set of data and then dividing the total by a number of the observations.
