is picking out some movies to rent, primarily interested in horror films and comedies. He has narrowed down his selections to 15
tigry1 [53]

Answer: 31,365

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The number of horror films = 15

The number of comedies = 18

Then , the number of different combinations of 4 movies can he rent if he wants at least two comedies is given by :-

^{18}C_2\times ^{15}C_2+^{18}C_3\times ^{15}C_1+^{18}C_4\times ^{15}C_0\\\\=\dfrac{18!}{2!(18-2)!}\times\dfrac{15!}{2!(15-2)!}+\dfrac{18!}{3!(18-3)!}\times\dfrac{15!}{1!(15-1)!}+\dfrac{18!}{4!(18-4)!}\times\dfrac{15!}{0!(15-0)!}\\\\=16065+12240+3060=31365

Hence, the  number of different combinations of 4 movies can he rent if he wants at least two comedies = 31,365

Two linear equations are given below.
gladu [14]

Answer: You can't answer this, but here are some guidelines

Step-by-step explanation:

I would love to answer this question (coming from someone who has already completed algebra keystones) but I need to know what the linear equations are before I can. If the functions are reciprocals of one another (the slope is the opposite and the fraction is switched) it is a perpendicular line which means one solution.  If the slope is the same but the intercept is different (using y=mx+b) so if b is different but m is the same they are parallel and there is no solution. If they are the same line (same equation) there is infinite solutions. If this doesn't help I would suggest finding graph paper and trying it out and seeing the intersection points.

Help me with this please .
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

2.09<2.1

Step-by-step explanation:

2.09   < 2.1

Take one number and subtract the other.

If you get a positive, then the first number is larger.  If you get a negative,  then the second number is larger.

I think 2.1 is larger

2.1

-2.09

-------------

Borrow from the 1

2. 0  10

-2. 0 9

---------------

0.  0 1

Since this is positive, 2.1 is larger
