<h3>✽ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ~<u>Hello There</u>!~ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ✽</h3>

➷ Work out the total number of cards (this will be the denominator for the fraction)

2 + 2 + 14  = 18

Probability of it being a red card: 2/18

Probability of it being a yellow card: 14/18

Add together these probabilities:

2/18 + 14/18 = 16/18

Simplify the fraction:

answer = 8/9

Your probability of a red is 2 out of 18.

Probability of a yellow is 14 out of 18.

Together it is 16 out of 18 or, in simplest form, 8/9.

Hope this is helpful!!

A student has $350.00 in her account and withdrew 3/5 of it . how much money , in dollars, remains in the account
Burka [1]

a whole, fraction wise, is always 1, so in this case we're looking at a whole of 5/5 = 1, and she withdrew 3/5, so what remained is 2/5

\cfrac{5}{5}\qquad \qquad \cfrac{5}{5}-\cfrac{3}{5}\implies \cfrac{5-3}{5}\implies \cfrac{2}{5}~\hfill 350\left( \cfrac{2}{5} \right)\implies \boxed{140}
