Mathematics

Well this is considerably easy!

Create equivalent expressions in the equation that all have equal bases.

2^x=2^4

Since the bases are the same, then two expressions are only equal if the exponents are also equal.

x=4

Verify each of the solutions by substituting them into 2^x=16

and solving.

x=4

Answer:

x=3  y=4

Step-by-step explanation:

The diagonals in a parallelogram bisect each other

DG = GC       and KG = GU

4x-7 = x+2

Subtract x from each side

4x-x-7 = x+2-x

3x-7 = 2

Add 7 to each side

3x-7+7 =2+7

3x=9

Divide by 3

3x/3=9/3

x=3

KG = GU

5y-8 = 3y

Subtract 5y from each side

5y-8-5y = 3y-5y

-8 = -2y

Divide by -2

-8/-2 = -2y/-2

4 =y

What is the elimination to this solution i think its b
Blababa [14]

EXPLANATION:

To get the solution of the simultaneous equation, using the elimination method:

We will have the following steps:

Step 1:

Write the two equations:

\begin{gathered} y=-\frac{1}{2}x+3 \\ y=-\frac{7}{2}x-3 \end{gathered}

Step2: Subtract the two equations:

\begin{gathered} y-y=-\frac{1}{2}x-(-\frac{7}{2}x)+3-(-3) \\ 0=-\frac{1}{2}x+\frac{7}{2}x+6 \\  \end{gathered}

Step 3: Simplify the expression

\begin{gathered} 0=3x+6 \\ 3x=-6 \\ x=-\frac{6}{3} \\ x=-2 \end{gathered}

Step 4: Substitute x=-2 into the formula:

\begin{gathered} y=-\frac{1}{2}x+3 \\ y=-\frac{1}{2}\times-2+3 \\ y=1+3 \\ y=4 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the answer is

(-2,4)

Thus,

Option B is correct

Look at the picture.

The triangle ADC and the triangle CDB are similar.

Therefore corresponding sides are all in the same proportion:

\dfrac{y}{4}=\dfrac{12}{y}\ \ \ \ |cross\ multiply\\\\y^2=48\to y=\sqrt{48}\\\\y=\sqrt{16\cdot3}\\\\y=\sqrt{16}\cdot\sqrt3\\\\y=4\sqrt3

Answer: 4√3
