I believe that to find the unit cost, you must divide the amount you have by the cost. Matthew paid $1.60 per toothbrush because if you divide 8 by 5, that is the quotient you would get. For Jon, he paid $1.38 for each.

Not sure if this is correct, hope it helps though!

Answer:

Matthew payed .63 (rounded .625) cents for each toothbrush while Jon payed .72 cents per toothbrush

Step-by-step explanation:

$5 = 8 toothbrushes

$18 = 25 toothbrushes

5 / 8 = .625

18/25 = .72

Michael has 5 boxes. There are 5kg of apples in each box. When empty, a box weighs 5-2 kg.
Sphinxa [80]
As I understand from the given above, each box when empty weighs 5-2 kg or 3 kg. To determine the total weight of Michael's boxes when empty, we just have to multiply 3 kg by 5. This gives us an answer of 15 kg. Thus, the total mass of Michael's boxes is 15 kg.

Can someone please please help me with this question !!!
Alex_Xolod [135]

Answer: b and d

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the roots are x=2 and x=6, we can write the equation as

f(x)=a(x-2)(x-6)

Substituting in the coordinates of the vertex,

-4=a(4-2)(4-6)\\\\-4=a(2)(-2)\\\\-4=-4a\\\\a=1

So, the equation is f(x)=(x-2)(x-6).

On expanding, we get f(x)=x^2 - 8x+12

2) A salesperson earns commission on the sales that she makes each month.
mixer [17]
Part A
Commission total = Commission 1+ Commission 2
Where
Commision 1 = 5% of first 45000
Commission 2 = 7.5% of the amount left after $5000 is subtracted
thus
Commision 1 = $5000x.05
                      = $250

Commission 2= $3000 x.075
                        = $225
Commission total = $250+$225
                              = $475
The total commission she earned is $475ion

Part B.
Total sales = Sales with 5% commission+Sales with 7.5% commission
Sales with 5%commission= $5000
Commision At 7.5% = Total commision -Commission with 5%
                           =    $1375-$250
              Sales x.075=  $1125
              Sales with 7.5% commision = $15000
Total sales = $5000+$15000
Total sales = $20000
Total sales for commission of $1375 is $20000
