Here is some information that will help

Pros

1) US shows that they are dedicated to the policy of containment: During this time, the US federal government adopted a policy of containment. This concept was all about stopping the spread of communism on an international scale. This helps to show why the US got involved in Korea, as they were trying to help South Korea from being taken over by a communist North Korea.

2) Helping South Korea resulted in the US getting a long term trade partner. This continues to this day, as we get many different products from South Korea (like Hyundai cars).

Cons

1) This was another foreign overseas war that many Americans did not think was important to the US. They saw this as an overreach of power.

2) Thousands of American lives would be lost fighting in the Korean War.

After ratification of the fifteenth amendment..
Vladimir79 [104]

A. voting rights could not be denied based on race.

B. voting rights could not be denied based on gender.

C. poll taxes became illegal and unconstitutional.

D. literacy tests became illegal and unconstitutional.

The fifteenth amendment states that "The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude."

There was no mention of gender, so voting for women hadn't been legalized until 1919, making B wrong.

the government of india has, since independence ,taken several steps to put an end to casteism in india. do you think that discri
viva [34]
Actually, I only have an anecdotal evidence: from my personal experience.

I know a person who described her friendship with a person from a lower caste and how hard it was for the person from the smaller caste to get a better job precisely because everyone though that she is supposed to do only lower-tier jobs, as people of her caste "should".

The discrimination is still very much present: it's really hard to overcome a very old prejudice in people: people still perceive people of lower casts as "less worthy".

If this was not the caste, the regular support from the government for the lower castes (for example reserved seats at the universities) would be discontinued. (this is an example you can use: the government still thinks it's necessary to help the lower castes, if there was no more discrimination, they would have stopped).
