Answer:

The Cold War in the 1980s was driven by Reagan’s policies and attitudes towards the Soviet Union. In this period the implications of his policies and attitudes had a major impact on the United States and Soviet relations and created the path to the ending the Cold War. Reagan’s attitudes and policies were aggressive and there were fierce tensions but Mikhail Gorbachev sparked a turning point and Reagan’s attitudes and policies became less hawkish. Through the policy of the Strategic Defence Initiative (SDI) and Reagan’s strong attitude against communism it heightened tensions between the two superpowers.

Is suppressing a cry of pain showing exuberance or stoicism?why
Mashcka [7]
"exuberance" means enthusiasm or showing a lot of energy. if someone holds back a cry of pain, that doesn't really make them seem energetic or excited. from that alone, you can infer that "stoicism" is your answer, but that word relates to a pointed lack of emotion, like when someone doesn't want to lose face or show that they're in pain.

Rewrite the sentences placing the adverbs given in bracket at appropriate positions 1. He signed all the papers of the agreement
Ket [755]

Answer:

He readily signed all the papers of the agreement.

or

He signed all the papers of the agreement readily.

Explanation:

"Readily" is an adverb of manner, and it can be placed in two different positions in a sentence structure. When used in a mid-position, right before the verb, an adverb of manner is a bit less emphasized:

- She easily baked the cake.

When used in an end-position, the adverb gains more emphasis:

- She baked the cake easily.

Examples of adverbs of manner are: readily, easily, quickly, beautifully, happily, etc.

Having that in mind, we can easily place "readily" in the following positions:

He readily signed all the papers of the agreement.

or

He signed all the papers of the agreement readily.
