Behaviors such as cannibalism, homosexuality, the way women dress are considered as criminal or deviant acts in some society but are encouraged in a particular group's setting.

Explanation:

Every society have its own perception of what makes up criminal or deviant behavior. There are certain criminal acts or behavior that violates the social norms of one society, but those very acts are considered quite normal in the other society. And this is often referred to as symbolic interactionalism which studies people's use of symbols and how situations differs from society to society and cultures.

For example : Girls or women wearing shorts is considered no less than criminal behavior specially in middle eastern countries, whereas when it comes to United States, such behavior is pretty normal. Another example would be marital abuse. In most countries this is an offensive and criminal act, but in some country there's no offense for such acts. Such acts are learnt behavior. An individual who is brought up in an environment where people smokes marijuana, will more likely take up the habit than the person who lives in an environment where no one smokes.
