Why are fossilized organisms so different from the animals on Earth today?
Sonbull [250]

Answer:

Fossils provide evidence about life on Earth that currently extinct. Through fossils, we've discovered several species of animals and plants that previously existed. We also learn how life on Earth changed throughout the years. Fossils found in younger rocks look like animals and plants that are living today. Fossils in older rocks look less like the current living animals and plants. Some fossils found look either more or less like current species we know today.

Mandarinka [93]

Phytochemicals are the compounds which gives color and taste to the food.

Explanation:

Phytochemicals are chemicals which occur naturally in plants which enhance taste or color when added to food. They are commonly found in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds and beans.

These are the unique chemicals that give carrots their bright orange color, the searing hotness to the peppers, the bright blue color to the blueberries, the unique flavor to onions, etc.

There are many types of phytochemicals like carotenoids (carrots), flavinoids (apple), anthocyanins (berries), polyphenols (tea), reservatrol (wine), sulfides (onion), isothiocyanates (cabbage), quercetin (apple), proanthocyanidins (grapes), terpenes (cherries), leutins (green leaves) etc.

ELEN [110]

Answer:

Explanation:

Look into Antimicrobial Peptides and the usage of yeasts to fight the bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Due to the rising bacterial resistance, scientists are using Antimicrobial Peptides (AMPs) as an alternate way to fight this crisis.

Where does yeast come into play? Yeasts are becoming a go-to organism for genetic engineering and recombinant protein production and a source to idenitfy how these AMPs work so that we could possibly target those pathways.
