Answer:

Roll 2 dice until you get a sum of 8 and record how many trials you made.

Explanation:

A binomial experiment consists in an experiment that is done "n" number of times, and there are only 2 possible outcomes, one of whic would be called successfull, and failure. In this case there are only two outcomes, either you get 8 when rolling the dice, or not, the successfull outcome will be when you get 8 from the sum of the dice, and the failure will be when you get anythin else. The outcomes of this experiments must be independient from one another, this means that for example, the successful result in one try, shouldn´t compromise the possibilities of having another succesfull outcome in the next try.

garri49 [273]

Answer:

Imprinting is easily accomplished if the necessary experiences occur:

b. in sensitive periods that differ across species.

Explanation:

Imprinting happens when an animal (or a human being) learns and recognizes the characteristics of a stimulus. The most common example is filial imprinting observed in goslings. They will imprint in any animal, human, or even inanimate object placed before them during a critical sensitive period. They soon begin to follow that animal, human, or object around, as if it were their mother. In the case of goslings, that can happen until up to 16 hours after birth. However, that period changes across species.

polet [3.4K]

Answer:

operant conditioning.

Explanation:

Operant conditioning is the term given to a learning method, where an individual is trained to exhibit specific behavior after an element is presented to him. When this individual exhibits the required behavior, he receives a reward, otherwise he receives a punishment.

In the example given in the question above, the cat Charlie underwent an operative conditioning process, as it was trained to be in the kitchen whenever it heard the noise of the electric can opener. When Charlie answered that noise, it got a food that it liked. For this reason, whenever it hears the noise, it goes to the kitchen waiting for the reward.
