Answer:

set both of them equal to each other:

8x - 8° = 5x + 25°

subtract 5x by both sides of the equations and it becomes:

3x-8° = 25°

now add 8° both sides:

3x = 33°

divide three by both sides:

x = 11°

now thats done to find B:

plug your x value in the B equation:

5x + 25°

5(11) +25°

55 +25°

not sure if you can add here sorry :(. I hope this helped so far :)

MArishka [77]

Answer:

Evening walk is shorter.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have been given that a nature center offers 2 guided walks. The morning walk is two-third mile. The evening walk is three-sixths mile. We are asked to find the shorter walk.

Let us compare both fractions by making the same denominator.

\text{Two-thirds}=\frac{2}{3}

\text{Two-thirds}=\frac{2\times2}{3\times2}

\text{Two-thirds}=\frac{4}{6}

\text{Three-sixth}=\frac{3}{6}

Upon making common denominator, we can see that two-thirds are equal to four sixths.

Since three-sixths is less than four-sixths, therefore, evening walk is shorter.

We will draw two rectangles, one with 6 sub-parts and other with three sub-parts.

We will shade 2 parts out of 3 sub-parts to represent 2/3 and shade 3 parts out of 6 sub-parts to represent 3/6.

Then we will further divide three sub-parts into 6 sub-parts as shown in the diagram that will represent 4/6.

Molly opened a bank account. She deposited $86.50 into her account every month for 20 months. She used $24.50 every month to pay
anastassius [24]

She spent $310 on the singing camp.

MY WORK:

I multiplied $86.50*20 because $86.50 is the amount she deposited for 20 months. $86.50*20=$1740.00

Then I multiplied $24.50*20 because she spent $24.50 for 20 months. $24.50*20= $490.00

Then I subtracted $1740.00-$490.00 because she spent $490 out of her bank account. $1740.00-$490.00=$1240.00

Finally, because its 1/4 of her money, I divided $1240.00 by 4. $1240 divided by 4= $310

Hope this helps!!
